What bothers you and why?

The Texas 100 year Flood

It really bothers me when any writer, journalist, influencer etc. writes a criticism post mortem which is truly Post Mortem! People have died in the Guadalupe River flood, many many people, and in the twisted thoughts of some people, there just HAS to be someone to blame. No! Wrong! Absolutely Crazy thinking!

First think about your biblical history and recognise that the Big Guy we call God planned a 1000 year flood and prepared only 8 people to survive it who had a hundred year building project in order to sail away over the heads of probably hundreds of thousands of drowning people. That happened. Not a myth.

Then realize that accidents happen all the time and no one in particular is to blame. We are mere mortals and we can’t think ahead and prepare for every conceivable outcome for everything. Thats Why we are weak and in need of an all mighty Creator who promises to Deliver us! He didn’t leave us here to be little gods over everything that lives and dies.

And then please have some mercy for our fellow brothers and sisters out there who had to make the judgment calls and decisions about when to react and how in the light of emergency situations. And children died, yes.

They died while we sat on our butts in a warm dry home, full of beer and burgers and 4th of July patriotic feelings.

Stop judging and have some humility and some mercy.
